A hidden gem for analog parenting in Southern Colorado is the Steelworks Center of the West. They offer school tours and low cost of admission $6 for Adults and $4 for kids 4-12. There are free science Saturdays for ages 6-12 with STEM (science, technology, engineering and mechanics) instruction. On spring break and summertime there are summer camps offered for grades 3-6, 3-5 days a week. Topics covered include engineering, physics, chemistry, biology and model rocketry.
