Warm weather + outdoor eating = more chances for foodborne illnesses.
Protect your child with these summer food safety tips:
~ Don’t leave food out for more than 2 hours (1 hour if it’s over 90°F).
~ Keep cold foods cold with plenty of ice or a cooler.
~ Cook meats thoroughly - no pink in burgers or chicken!
~ Wash hands before and after eating, especially after playing outdoors.
-Be cautious with toddlers and adult beverages, especially those that are sweet.
