As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, I am reassured by the fact that we have not yet seen any particularly sick kids. This does not mean that kids can’t get sick, but for the most part they have been mildly symptomatic or asymptomatic. The vaccine is here and there may be a light at the end of the tunnel. I was somewhat nervous about this vaccine initially, but I feel that it will be shown to be both safe and effective. Based on the research, we fully expect these vaccines to be safe and effective for children, but we will need to wait until more clinical research has been completed. We at Steel City Pediatrics will continue to update you as the situation evolves.
